Dracaena 'Janet Craig'

I have/had a 2ft tall Janet Craig until last night when my dog decided it needed to be re-potted...It was pulled up and the root ball bitten off. The plant is otherwise intact, with about 4" of stalk/stem before the leaves start and still roughly 2ft tall. Can I get this to root again? I'd hate to lose it.

allow base of stem to air dry... apply 0.1% IBA (
Rooting hormone)stick in well drained soil & provide support... mist foliage oftem.... put in a area with indirect light & avoid draft but do not cover with a plastic bag
