This plant will not survive outside in your winters. tip cuttings apply 0.1% IBA (Rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist. taking 15-40 days to root.
will flower the first year IF given a 7 week cold period (40-45F) & yes this is a cool season plant

Thankyou GeorgeZ. I looked at your "My Page" and was impressed. So perhaps you can tell me how to propagate my lisianthus (since it won't survive our winter)and callirhoe which does survive, but I love my one plant and would like more.

When I dead=headed my Osteospermum last year, I left the cuttings on the ground and this spring I got a lot of new plants coming out. BTW, they are in those platic rectangular planters. I always thought I am in Z9 but I just checked on the zone map and I am in 8a. I left the planters outside but close to a wall and protected from wind.
I guess our climate is not that cold to kill it. In fact the new plants have been doing very well and they are still green now. Alas not that many flowers this year. Maybe I used the wrong fertilizer.
