I want to propagate cuttings from an ash tree. My question is when and how? Should I wait until spring? How long should the cuttings be? New wood or old? what mix should I use? Any help is much appreciated

RE: ash trees

BEST TIME JULY THROUGH AUGUST. TAKE A TIP CUTTING OF FIRM NEW GROWTH. APPLY 0.3% IBA (ROOTING HORMONE) STICK IN WELL DRAINED SOIL & MIST.
