| I'm going to the house of these people I know for Halloween party, they garden, I have sunchokes, tubers had started to form 4 weeks ago when I checked.
Can/should I give them the tubers now? Will they be able to plant them and then they'll grow come Spring? Or do I have to wait until Spring? Will the tubers even still be there during spring?
this is in North NJ
Party is on the 27th, I'll be seeing them |

| The best time to plant Helianthus tuberosus / Jerusalem Artichokes is early spring. Are your tubers recent transplants or just still in the garden or what? |

| OK, so will the tubers still be there in SPring? My understanding is the tubers form in Autumn. Will they still be there for me to pick and give to people? |

| They will be if they don't rot. Damaged (cut, broken, bruised, etc) tubers are much more likely to rot when planted this time of year. |

| Animals also like to eat the tubers, so watch out for that. You might want to put so chicken wire over them for the winter. |
