Propagation question on Shrubs

Posted by mary_max 5 (My Page) on

I have propagated several branches of a pussy willow bush. I have four branches about the size of a finger in a pot. They are all growing and have been for the last year. My question is. Is each branch I stuck in the pot a shrub or can the four branches be planted out as one shrub? Thanks

RE: Propagation question on Shrubs

Planting all four together (in the same planting hole) will produce a bigger shrub somewhat (probably not much) faster than a single cutting would. However, planting each cuttings separately will give you four times the pussy willows. Either option is fine.

Brandon that was very helpful. Thanks so much for the reply to my question.
