 o
propagation of sinojackia

I succeeded in propagating a sinojackia xylocarpa by seeds. It is long to sprout because it has double dormancy
I would like to root a young twig from a one year seedling.

does it root easily?
better with hardwood or softwood?

I have the same question with one year old davidia involucrata var vilmoriniana: this one is difficult and long too by seeds.

Davidia... take softwood cuttings in july. wound, apply 0.8% IBA (Rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist taking 35-70 days to root.... bottom heat helps.
