Plant Propagation

Can you please tell me how to propagate this plant?

G'day from Sydney everyone! I just pulled this pretty plant from the back of some old building nearby and I have not idea what it is. It looks like an aloe of some kind. My question is by looking at this photo, does anyone know how I should replant it? Should I cut the leaves off or should I let the stem dry out (its oozing right now) and put that in soil? If I put it in soil should it be dry soil or should I water it. Thank you very much for your help. Happy holidays! J.

It looks like an Aloe alright. If you just stick the end in a loose well drained soil mix and keep it from falling over, it should root just fine. Soil should be moist and if well drained amount of water should not matter. I would not cut anything off. Al

i second the suggestion, stick in some well draining soil, make sure the soil is moist but not soaking wet, tent with a plastic bag with a few holes for air circulation and support it and it should root fine
