Rooting Begonia Failure

Of all the different plants I tried rooting this fall, I had no success with fibrous begonia. All the the cuttings turned to black mush. What is the best way for future cuttings? James

RE: Rooting Begonia Failure

I use tip cuttings apply 0.1% IBA Rooting hormone. stick in well drained soil & mist. Pproblems may be caused by a soil fungus or the cuttings were contaminated OR the parent plant was contaminated with a fungus. a final possibility is IF you used IBA it was to strong & "burned" the cuttings.....
