| I am wondering if anyone has advice on how to propagate palm seeds?
I probably should wait until summer when it is alot warmer. I plan to use a humidity dome and heat mats but it is still cold in the room where I am going to do this. I know most require high temperatures to germinate. Usually between 70-100 F (depending on the species). I read somewhere that soaking the seeds in water that has been soaked in a smoke primer might help? Smoke primers not only work for plants that need smoke treatment but may work for other recalcitrant species. The palm that I plan to grow is Areca catechu (Betel Nut).
