To all concerned: I am sending your trade items, but right now the heat would kill the plants. The delay before was caused by the relentless flooding we experienced here in Illinois. It's taken us months to clean up & rebuild. I had no internet connection for long periods of time, which is why I wasn't responding. One person I trade with lives not far from me and she experienced the same flooding....we ended up trading in person just 2 weeks ago.
I can't apologise enough to you all. You have every right to be angered, and I am so very sorry. A few of the plants in the trades have gone dormant, but will be sending up shoots again in the autumn. The rest, you'll all receive as soon as I can afford to post them. The cleanup has been expensive, to put it mildly. I'm not asking your forgiveness here, just explaining what happened.
Best wishes to you all,
Lily

Lily,

Everyone understands unexpected circumstances can affect GW trades. I am sure when you explained your situation no one demanded their packages be sent out immediately. I hope people were very patient as I have been.

You want us to understand your side, but please understand the other side also.

I can only speak for myself, but I am sure some of the others feel the same as I do. I didn’t lose faith in you until the day I posted the review. As I wrote the review post I honestly checked quite a few times hoping you had emailed me telling me my plants went out and I didn't have to post the negative review. I am quite disappointed (not angered) things have turned out they way they have. You seemed so nice and very sincere from the onset of our correspondence. Little telltale signs lead me to believe there would be no way you wouldn’t fulfill your end of the trade obligation.

A short note initiated from you from time to time assuring me that you hadn’t forgotten about me and intended to get plants out would have been appreciated. You say you had no internet for spans of time, but at this point you had my home address. A postcard to my home would have said volumes and eased my mind and helped me to believe in your honesty. At his point that is neither here nor there.

I sure hope since you are continuing to make trades, you explain to people that there are others ahead of them waiting for plants to be shipped out.

Personally, as long as I get healthy plants of what is due to me before summers end, I will harbor no ill will.

Susan
