| Blanchette Gardens opened this past weekend! They are a gem among nurseries specializing in perennials, and they carry an incredible variety of Hosta & Astilbe. If you visit when the Astilbe are in bloom, it's an amazing sight and the sweet scent is intoxicating. The varieties of Epimedium are fantastic as are the ferns, the daylilies, Allium, Polygonatum.....I could go on. All the plants are propagated by Leo & his son and spend the winter outside, so you know you're getting plants that can handle our cold winters. Leo is one of the most knowledgeable nurserymen around and can answer any questions you might have about perennials. I can't recommend Blanchette Gardens highly enough, and the prices are great too.
