For anyone looking for trustworthy Japanese Maple vendors there are plenty.

On Ebay Bonsaibob and Eastfork are reliable. Online: Topiary Gardens, Mendocino Maples, Greer Gardens, Whitman Farms, World Plants, Eastwood, Essence of the tree and Mountain Maples are all vendors with both integrity and fine plants.

I contacted ebay but the response was the typical, flaccid, canned nonsense they are known for.

You might want to check out Ebay's VERO system, if you haven't already. It seems they want you to jump through hoops though in order to report it...sigh.

I would be terribly upset, and would do everything within my power to have the listing removed and/or prevent it from happening in the future. With enough complaints (violations) being reported, I'd think and hope Ebay would have the good sense to just shut 'em down.

Sue...who has seen a lot of pilfered pics posted by a recent ebayer selling irises....sigh
