Saw the obit in today's Boston Globe. It was a good write up. I'm intrigued to the point that I'll try to get a copy of the biography that was written about him.

Actually, I'm Ginny, not Ginger, tho we are New England neighbors. I looked for some good visuals of Kiley's work to share but couldn't find anything very useful. Maybe someone else can.

This is a very good read on one of Dan Kileys more celebrated residential designs: The Miller House.

Dan Kiley's obit is finally in the NYT today--Feb 25. It is substantial and very interesting. Anyone with an interest in American garden history would be interested in the life and work of this man. You can find it at nytimes.com. The ideal of course is to see photos of his landscapes but the descriptions in the obit give some flavor of his work.

I picked up a book last year called "DAN KIELY - The complete Works of America's Master Landscape Architect" by" Dan Kiely and Jane Amidon.

A most interesting book covering Mr. Kiely's work. I actually got it foe 1/3 list price and it was money well spent.
