How do you spell 'relief'?

N-E-W G-A-R-D-E-N-E-R, that's how! At last my current position at Hillwood has been split into two, so that I can concentrate on the Japanese-style Garden and do some future restoration work that still remains. I know it will take a couple of months for the interminable hiring process, but at least there's hope!

I always thought it was spelled R-O-L-A-I-D-S.

Anyway, congratulations Fran and just devour anything on Japanese gardening that you can until the new position is filled. In the mean time, may Japanese stone lanterns illuminate your dreams of your masterpiece to come.

Fran, I just visited the Hillwood website for the first time tonight to get info about reservations. I think many other folks on this forum would enjoy seeing the section of the site that explains and documents the restoration work done there -- how cool that it is on the website! It also gives us all a better idea of exactly why you have been so sorely in need of relief!

Thanks, everyone! If you ever visit, I'll be hiding down in the Japanese-style Garden, doing endless pruning and cleanup!
