Resurfacing a plastic pot

I dont know if this is the right forum...but if anyone has any creative ideas (aside from mosaics) to change the texture of the outside of a pot. I have 2 that I'd love to make look like they were made of old stone. I had seen a DIY clip once on how to do this but I have forgotten how. It seems that they made square planters to resemble old stone. If I cant resurface the pots I have, I could make one from scratch too.
