Need all the help I can get!

Need ideas on re-creating the look of an edwardian garden. Our home was built in 1908 and, because it is listed in the National Register of Historical Places, I would like to have the yard look right for the period in which the house was built. I must tell, however, that I am an Old Rose fanatic and have nearly 200 roses around the property. The plants that were growing here when we bought the place are camellias and azaleas (we kept those, of course). Would a gazebo be inappropriate? What about a pergola? Were grasses common in those days and if so, which ones should I try? Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you all!!
