Identifying Plants

We live in an old hunting lodge that was built in the 1860s. One of the previous owners did some wonderful things with the property..i.e. dogwoods, daffs..and from what I hear she had a fabulous formal garden in the only real sunny spotl on the property. The only thing still there after about 30 years (aside from the rock edging) are some bittersweet, a huge cotonester, iris, lemon balm and garlic chives. There are a few other things growing rampid throught the bed I think wild chervil and ozark something or other. Anyhoo my real question is I have found something that looks like wisteria but only two sets of leaves. I know the dreaded 'landscapers' weed wacked everything before we came on the scene (including the raspberries thankfully) which might account for the small size. Is there a website that I can ID 'found' plants on? Like what plants look like in their adolecent stage? Thanks, sure am having fun creating our 'Little Maine' here in southern CT.
