Full StoryI am involved in a restoration project for a private estate and we are restoring a 25 acre victorian estate back to its former glory.
we are seeking seed for Heracleum mantegazzianum (giant hogweed) it is to be planted in the walled garden formally known as the giants garden.
we have early photos of the garden showing such plants as echiums, giant gunnera and giant hogweed.
it is our intention to grow the hogweed in the walled garden and remove the flowering heads from the plants prior to seeding and to retain only a few seeds for our needs.
however seeds are very hard to come buy due to this plant being classed as a invasive pest.
can anyone help us obtain viable seed for controlled cultivation.
