.....a new , nontraditional college will open in Charleston, SC. devoted to teaching the old building methods, stonework, ornamental ironworks, plaster work, garden ornamentation type techniques. This is going to be a hands-on learning situation and the only one of its type in the country. Lots of info to be found when American College of the Building Arts is searched. I know there are many artisans out there interested in these techniques so badly needed in building or garden restoration. I also predict that we are going to see new trends in college education due to the economy which will allow students to move directly into studying their field of interest. I just wanted to alert those young or old of this new study opportunity.
