Visit to the Denver Botanic Gardens

Hi all!

I have a day off work this Monday, January 16th, which is Martin Luther King Day. It is a free day at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I was wondering if anyone might be interested in meeting me there? They are having an orchid/bromeliad showcase starting today that will be going on inside. I'll mostly be wandering around looking at...you guessed it, trees!

The weather looks to be about 45 degrees on Monday, so a little chilly, but doable. I was thinking to get there around 10:30 or 11 and stay for 3 or 4 hours.

If you want to go, but not with me, now you know there is a free day, LOL!

I visited a few years ago in the summer while there for a conference. What a fabulous botanic garden! I'll come again sometime. I hope you enjoy the day off amid such splendor, Barb!

Thanks, Steve! Now that I've planned it, the weather is tanking, amended forecast is mid 30's with wind and possible snow flurries. Way to go, Barb! I'll just walk around until I get cold, then go inside and look at orchids!

Although I'd love to join you, some of my kids will be in school tomorrow!

I love the indoor areas, especially during the winter.
