Oh! Glad someone started this thread - I've been waiting the the seed exchange to begin :^) I have some available - I'll add my list later.

I'm interested to know more about the Huckleberry, Chichiquelite - is this an edible berry?

    Thanks!

Sorry, I usually do a seed exchange thread in the fall, but the canning season ran long for me this past year, and I never got around to it.

Gjcore, I have tons of garlic chives if you'd like some.

Here is a link to my trade page. It's fairly well up-to-date.

Wondering how hot that Tunisian Baklouti pepper is on your list?

Here are the seeds I've harvested this year:

    veges -
    Sugar Baby Watermelon
    Black Krim Tomato
    Anaheim pepper

    Perennials -
Ganzia - mixed colors: Tanager (orange) mostly, and some from a pink and a yellow variety plants I got at the spring swap (I've never grown this plant before, but I think I love it! It blooms for a very long time, and looks like it is holding up very well through this winter. It is also xeric)
    Lavender
    Echinacea Cone Flower

    Annuals -
Snapdragons - mixed colors (red, white and ?)
Larkspur - white & blue mix
    Morning Glory - blue

I'd be interested in the Huckleberry seeds, gjcore, if they are an edible fruit. Also the Crimson Sweet watermelon sounds great. Let me know if I have any seeds your interesting in!

Wow Bonnie - you have quite a selection!!! I'd be interested in some of your 'Rouge Vif d'Etamps', Dill, Marigolds, and/or Cilantro. Let me know if I have anything you are interested in!

Bonnie, my peppers got all mixed up last year so I'm not positive but if they were the ones that I think they were very hot and I'd be interested in the garlic chives.

I've done quite a few trades on the gardenweb's seed exchange forum during the last week so after those are done I'll need to update my list again.

Gjcore, have you ever done any swaps on the Round Robin forum? I've been numerous swap over there, even hosted a few, and find it much more fun that trading with just one person at a time. It's like getting a Christmas or birthday gift, when you get that big bubble envelope full of packets of seeds. Austinnhanasmom, from our forum, will be hosting a big tomato swap over there next month, and then I'll be doing my pepper swap again in March. You should join us.

If you'll email me your mailing address, I'll get those garlic chives out to you.

BTW, Dan doesn't seem to have a trade list yet. Maybe he could post what he has available on this thread : )

Mission Viejo isn't that far, maybe 5 miles from here.

Let me get the 2 deadlines done and the seed box out and I'll see what I have, but it'll be beans, lots of lettuce/greens, peppers, a few toms. Hopefully by mid-week I can pay attention to my list.

Looks like my Zone listing FUBAR has been fixed...

Basically how those swaps work, is that everyone sends their seeds in to the host/hostess, usually with a wishlist, and a list of what they have sent in. Then, the host/hostess will divide the seeds up, trying to fill as many wishes as possible, and mail them back out. The beauty of these swaps, is the large variety you recieve back for just the cost of postage. For example, I have over 80 different types of peppers, and probably over 100 kinds of tomatoes. I could never afford to buy that many packages, but with a swap, you are usually able to send in multiples. Say I sent in 3 packets each of 5 different peppers. I'd receive back 15 types of peppers, all different than the ones I sent in. So I just tripled my number of varieties. Does that make sense?

That sounds better than the other round robin trades that I've read about where one package circulates to the next person.

    I'm will try that.

I was wondering if anyone has any Brandywine tomato seeds they'd like to trade? My husband would like to try that variety this year.

    Marj,
As Bonnie well knows I have a fair sized inventory of tomato seeds. I'm just starting to fill requests. If you will email me I'll send you some Brandywine seeds. I assume you want the Pink Brandywine? There is a Red and a Yellow. I also have seeds for several selections and crosses of it. The trouble here is the original Pink Brandywine doesn't set real well in our heat and wind. If you have an area with a wind break and afternoon sun that will help. I will have to see how many seeds of a few others I have left. I may send you a few surprises also.

And if anyone else desires tomato seeds just drop me an email and I'll try to fill them soon. I try to fill most requests 1-2 times a winter. Also trying to cut down my inventory. So culling a lot that I either have saved seeds for or don't feel I'll be growing anytime soon. Seeds that are starting to get 3-5 years old and need to be grown while they'll still germinate. If you want a variety there is a good chance I might have it. Jay

Hi Jay. That would be terrific if you could send me some seeds! As far as which type of Brandywine, hadn't thought about that as I wasn't aware there were different ones :^o If the Pink doesn't do too well in Zn 5 (Westminster), then probably should get the red variety that does better. Our garden does get a lot of sun most of the day, and backs to a fence. If you want to send some pinks as well, we'll give 'em a try!

Let me know if I have any seeds (see my early post) that you would like in trade!!

Please send me an email - I can't seem to locate yours on the site.

    Thanks,
    Marj

Greg/Bonnie - thanks so much for the seeds you sent, and for the education on how I SHOULD have sent mine! I never thought about them possibly getting crushed going through the mail system - I will definitely use bubblewrap for any future mailings!!!!

Hopefully the ones I sent to both of you made it in good enough shape to plant. This is the first time I've ever harvested seeds, so hopefully I did that ok as well and they will produce some good plants for you.

    Thanks again,
