I'm going to try some annuals specifically for cutting this year, annual asters, zinnias, annual sweet peas, etc. I've tried before indoors under lights with no success so I want to try outside this year. When is it safe to winter/spring sow in the Front Range for the tender annuals? Has anyone out there had any success?

Also, I bought one of the portable greenhouses from Big Lots this year to put on the uncovered side of my deck. Can I start these annuals earlier if I put them in a typical wintersow container then in the greenhouse or am I guaranteeing their failure in the hot CO sun? Any advice?
