Mustard, dill, cilantro, mizuna, tatsoi. bok choy, radish, chinese celery, carrots, beets, beet greens, chard, turnips, marjormam...

I was never much of a fan of cilantro or chard until I started growing them.

If they are low-growing, you could keep a succession of salad greens going as a ground cover with the tomatoes.

Peas comes to mind. I do like chard. I have several recipes that use it and the beetles don't seem to attack it like they do my kale.

Green onions and you may be able to leave a few to maturity. Small, they require very little space. Later, they have quite a root system but are still not space hogs. Sweet onion varieties are great as scallions and the bulbs are out of the ground by August.

Three question marks: can you keep your peas off the tomatoes? I thought chard's great value was in its tolerance for summer weather - would you want to pull it? Kale? That one can go right thru the season and still be a good harvest choice into the winter.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm glad I asked as I was thinking more about utilizing the greenhouse longer and also thinking about getting my hands dirty without being in the cold and wind. Onions are my best bet so far. Chinese celery though sounds good. Any suggestions on how to grow it?

Nothing too special about growing Chinese celery. Sow the seeds and barely cover , keep watered and then thin if needed. Likes to be cool, moist and fairly sunny.
