No fear, Kristie! Spring bulbs come up "when itÂs time," and theyÂll be fine. Last year my daffodils and a couple hyacinths were already blooming when we got several inches of heavy, wet snow, and while the stems bent over so I had to dig them out of the snow to cut them to bring them in, once I got them inside and let them thaw, the flowers were fine in water for another week.

I had to dig them out of the snow in three different places, and, boy, were my hands ever cold by the time I was done!

Mine are coming up and I think it's one of the greatest joys in gardening to see the results of last fall's prudent labor. I can't wait to see what colors I chose last fall!
