I'm going to be proactive for lettuce this year.....

Every year I grow all sorts of lettuce. Leafs and head and blah blah blah....

Every year, EVERY frickin' YEAR, the beetles, chomp chomp chomp.... The little black ones, and they hop.

I don't have the time to be spraying soap every day or constantly spraying strong jets of water. (Yes it sprays them off, but they come back!)

I've done a lot of reading on the food grade diatomaceous earth. Everyone seems to like it and provided we don't have a ton of rain in the spring, it wouldn't have to be applied as often. It can be applied wet or dry.

Does anyone have experience with this? Does it work?
