Hi Moon,

Just to be sure, you do know that theyÂre tropicals and that you wonÂt ever be able to plant it outside, donÂt you? So IÂm assuming youÂre planning to grow it as a house plant and maybe put it outside in its pot for a while in summer when itÂs warm enough.

IÂve grown things like avocado pits in the past, long ago now, but IÂve never tried to start a mango. See the link to the site I found that has some really good information about growing them from seed. It sounds like it's pretty easy. I donÂt know if we have anybody around here that might be able to give you more help on this one or not, but if you donÂt get more replies in a few days, you might want to try posting for more info on the GW Tropical Plants forum.

If you're serious about it, they need a south window and decent humidity to do well. Conservatory or greenhouse plants in these parts, but attractive.

Ok thank you. And yes i do plan on growing it inside(if i can) though i managed to grow a pineapple plant inside (and it gave me pinapples of a medium size) i am also trying to grow avacadoes 2 i "planted" in a container of water and the other 2 i planted in dirt, so far no results but hoping with crossed fingers (for both of them)
