Hail Season

So, it looks like winter is safely in our rearview for the week. Though, I wouldn't chance to say we are out of the woods quite yet. Now, we quickly approach the next weather catastrophe for our plants: hail.

Looking over my notes from years past, it looks like May and June has brought me the most hail over the years, usually with disastrous results. I have never been good at predicting hail, though, one of my "old timer" friends can do it with pinpoint accuracy.

Often times I am caught deciding whether or not to trust the weather because, as you all know, any chance for rain is greatly welcome. At the same time, I am constantly worried I am going to wake up in the morning or come home from work and what started out as a much appreciated thunderstorm turned into a devastating hail storm. How do you all deal with it?
