Finding strawberry plants in or around Boulder CO?

Posted by nana89 Colorado (My Page) on

Does anyone know of any reputable nurseries that have Tristar Strawberry plants? I've found several sites online, but ordering anything online makes me a bit uncomfortable, and I don't like not being able to see the plant I'm going to get! Any recommendations of nurseries in or around the Boulder CO area would really be appreciated!

If you can wait until fall, I have tristar in my yard that I'll share. I bought them last summer (!!) online from Indiana Berry and we tasted a few in the fall. They are the BEST!! I am hoping the fruit size will improve, but the taste is fabulous. I also was unsure about buying online, but the plants I received were mostly dormant. I'm sure a few died, because July is not the time to plant strawberries, but they multiply like mad and soon I'll have more then I can even give away. I highly recommend this variety and am happy with this online shop. I also ordered a red raspberry and a gold raspberry but my son plucked all the canes from the dirt and now I don't know which is which. The raspberries, that lived the plucking in 100 degree heat, are also returning strong. I think this is testament to decent plants from Indiana Berry.

Oh wow, that sounds wonderful! Haha, I do get pretty impatient when it comes to plants (I get really, really excited every spring), but I'm sure it would be worth the wait to get some that are healthy and don't have to go through shipping. I will for sure keep Indiana Berry in mind though! I was looking at their site and I think I've fallen in love!

OK - if you don't have strawberries this fall, please email me and we'll set it up. I'd like to say I'll remember, but my memory is now horrible, after having my second kid :((.

No problem at all! I'd love that. <3 I'll do my best to remember too! I'm not exactly the best with memory things either. Thank you very much again though!
