Kenny, I used to buy bulk packets of lettuce mixes - Mesculin mix, etc. and then do a planting every two weeks using plastic trays - I'd wait until the plant were 4-5 inches high, then mow them down to an inch, and then repeat. After a couple hair cuts, they get too bitter, and so I pull them all up and start again.

But to be honest, these days I just buy a lb box of organic salad mix at Safeway for $5.

Now I do cilantro and basil, and if the seedlings don't die, oregano.

By greens do you mean things you eat raw like salad or do you mean things you cook... Collard,Mustard, or Swiss Chard? I know the former are fast growing. The latter are longer growing. Heck my dad would grow Swiss Chard such he could harvest them in late autumn after snow fall.
