ornamental sage?

My neighbor decided to take out all of the plants in his front bed and replant to their liking. I "happened" to be outside and he called me over to ask if I'd like to have any or all of the plants he was discarding. SCORE. Included were several armeria, 3 full grown sedum "autumn joy", 2 huge candytuft, daisies, and some sedum groundcover.

The only item I'm not sure of is a groundcover that looks like it will flower (old dried flower stalks still on it). It is a bicolored leaf with some texture. It smells like sage when rubbed between the fingers. It's pretty, but when I looked it up I read it was a member of the mint family. Screech! Is this as invasive as other mints? No free plant is worth the digging I'd have to do later.

Advice? Warnings? Blessings?

Thanks, Connie
