Yes! Roses do very definitely get mildew! I'm linking a thread where I expounded upon my own personal theory on how to minimize the problem, and there will probably be others along with info on what works best for them. When I was in the green industry I used some of the different commercial mildew suppressants, with little improvement, and here at home I had tried the "home remedy" kinds of things like baking soda and milk, but the only thing I've found to work for me is the "watering theory" I talk about in the linked thread.

The swap WAS fun! Hope you can make it to the Fall Swap! (Hope I can make it too! I'm taking my vacation a couple weeks earlier than normal this year, and I happened to think, about a week ago, that that might keep me out of the mix this fall! Will just have to wait till then and see what date gets picked!)
