just thought I'd mention it - For those new to the area, this is a plante shoppe that, although pricy, has wonderful plants well adapted to the dry climate. And it sure isn't too late to plant perennials. And I promise I won't, like, be celebrating fathers day or going overboard, even though their stuff is 40% off.

Our HOA yesterday just approved my request to take the turf out of the treelawn and replace with a xeric perennial bed. First in the community. I've been waiting for the HCG sale as a good chunk of the new bed will be their stuff. Perfect timing!

I'll post pix. The Aurora planner who approved my submittal wants to use my submission as a template, so I might be on the right track...we'll see how I feel Monday after I cut the sod and rototill and trench for drainage and recover from the heat stroke.
