I've seen that yellow clover around before not sure what type it is. I grow a LOT of white dutch clover in my bed paths. Slightly invasive but relatively easy enough to keep under control. If it's invading the Hens n Chicks I would give it a good watering and then hand pull as much as possible.

There is a yellow clover, with small "buttons" of yellow flowers, I don't see that too often. Sweet clover, on the other hand, has tall spikes of yellow flowers, often found in conjunction with alfalfa around here in South Jeffco. It used to be much more common until the County started having the open field behind us mowed once a month, now, it's pretty much gone. Id keep it pulled , and as long as it hasn't gone to seed, you'll probably be rid of it in short order.

I can't remember the name of the stuff offhand, it isn't a 'clover' per se, some kind of weed thats around here profusely in June, , and disappears in mid-july/august. I don't know if it fixes nitrogen or not.

Here we have what some call Japanese clover but is black medic. Small yellow flowers that turn into black seeds. Spreads rapidly and stems grow quite long. In garden or flower beds wet and pull before seeds form. A weed.
