So when do I plant lettuce for fall?

Okay, all my lettuce has bolted. I'm admiring the interesting plants they've become, but I'll probably tear them out soon since they're starting to shade my tomatoes.

I know I want to resow for the fall season. Any tips from the group on the best time to start that?

Thanks!

    Francesca,

I sowed mine indoors last week. I plan to wait until it cools off a bit before placing the containers in a shady spot outside, until space becomes available in the garden. It's probably too hot to get good germination with direct sowing, and if you plant it out when it's this hot, it may bolt.

See recent thread on same topic.

I put together some general planting season info for Colorado at the page linked below. It's not perfect, but you might find it useful.
