Elk and wildflowers

I have a acre of land in northern AZ...in the middle of elk country... I planted some fruit trees and keep the elk out with a 5 foot fence ( I have read that a 5 foot fence is enough to keep elk out of small areas, and it has worked for years)

I built a wood fence around a cottage for privicacy as well as an elk barrer..

WELL ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY FENCED AREA I WANT TO PLANT SOME WILDFLOWERS TO SOFTEN THE WOOD FENCE. I WANT A TALL GROWING WILDFLOWER. I NOTICE THAT THE NATIVE WILD SUNFLOWER ARE FOR THE MOST PART LEFT ALONE BY THE ELK.... WHAT LUCK HAVE OTHER GARDENERS HAVE WITH GROWING WILD FLOWERS IN ELK COUNTRY... WHAT WILDFLOWRES CAN I PLANT THAT THE ELK WILL LEAVE ALONE.....AND ARE MOST SUNFLOWERS ELK RESISTANT!!!

RE: Elk and wildflowers

I have a big deer problem, but they don't touch my sunflowers - I don't know about elk though. Good Luck!
