Planning early - Frost cover up?

How do ya'll "cover" your plants for the early frosts? Do you just cover your favorites or do you cover whole beds? What product do you use? and how much does it protect (to what temp)? My beds are fabulous this year and I want them to last as long as possible.

I use a sheet and I cover my tenders. I usually just cover the tomatoes but I don't have any this year! I make sure all my stakes (good and strong) are in place and keep adjusting them so they stay higher than the plant. Then, when an expected or unexpected frost or hail shows up, I just run out with my sheet that I bought at ross for $4.99. Works pretty well!

I'm sure you'll get more details such as temps. I usually start at 38f.

This morning the thermometer read 39!!! It was only supposed to get down to 42 last night, what happened?!
