buffalo grass, front range

Have any of you tried growing buffalo grass as lawn? I helped my brother plant plugs of 'Legacy' buffalo grass a few years ago. I'm impressed by the vigor and deep green leaf color of the grass. It goes brown as weather cools, however :(

Update on my Legacy buffalo grass.

I live in Phoenix and took a plug of my brother's 'Legacy' buffalo grass back home with me. I planted it in a pot to test its heat tolerance to Phoenix climate. The buffalo grass tolerated our record high of 118 a few weeks ago without any problem. It's growing almost as vigorously as my bermuda lawn.
