| Hail storm and torrential down pour at 9:00 pm.
I mean, if you live out on the eastern plains or Kansas, nasty night time storms happen, but on the Western Slope? |
Follow-Up Postings:

| We had big, wet looking clouds. All we got was a few drops here in Arvada. |

| Definitely surprising for a nighttime storm in your neck of the woods, David! I spent all afternoon watching the same "big, wet looking" clouds Popmama had, and hoping to get dumped on---but what I wound up getting hardly qualified as "a few drops!" Have my fingers crossed for tomorrow---sans-hail, of course! Hope your tomatoes, et al, survived the hail, P.S. If it helps, the northeast plains and moving into NE are getting hit right now! |

| I'm still hoping for rain. I have heard thunder twice now in the last month----It even got cloudy one day. KennyP |

| Surveying the damage this morning, it wasn't as bad as it looked peering out the windows last night. The large leaves on the squash look a bit tattered and the tomatoes aren't going to win any beauty contests. I have two apple trees - the Almata red fleshed ones - that are now mature, and it looks like the wind knocked off a bushel or so. Today is apple sauce making day. |
