I use a good squirt of neem for all my mite problems.

Hi! The NEEM didn't really faze them in my garden, unfortunately, though it works on just about everything else I've needed it to. I've found that setting my watering wand nozzle to "JET" and blasting the heck out of the leaves from the underside is the best remedy. I do it at least twice a week and am finally seeing some real progress on keeping them deterred.

I too use the blast of the hose! But then, I use a systemic insecticide in the ornamentals. No 100% results, even in combination, but I bet that the water is just about as much help as the insecticide.

Cucumber vines? I'd hate to be crawling around trying to spray them . . .

I use neem on mites and it knocks them down fairly well. As soon as I see them on the cukes they get a squirt and this year 2x was all I needed. Beans are harder and I've just let them go now. Was looking at sprayers with an upturned nozzle for next year...

I found some Neem (70%) at my favorite local organic gardening place yesterday and blasted the little devils as soon as I got home. I haven't been out this morning yet to check on them but will say it's much easier to get under and around the leaves since I have the vines training up along a pole as well as twine. I can't imagine trying to do this on my hands and knees in the dirt either...when should I blast them again?

Give it a few days so there is no phytotoxicity - leaf damage. We only grow bush beans here so I can attest to the PIA of spraying near ground level. Which was why I was looking for a cheap tank sprayer.
