Hello, and Thanks

Just coming out of lurkdom to say that this is the friendliest, most informative forum I've seen in researching Rocky Mountain gardening. I've been here a year, coming from Michigan, and my main project is restoring the meadow that was disrupted by our house construction. My mailing address is Nederland, but we're much closer to Boulder, so I guess that puts me in zone 5. Wish I could go to the swap, but something came up. Hope to see you next spring!

Welcome!! You're not that far from me. we are up here in Ned and I work in Boulder. I hope you enjoy it here and look forward to meeting you at the spring swap. Don't be fooled by the weather, this winter was mellow but it seems to change from year to year. I agree, a great forum full of kind people that have taught me (a California gal) a ton about the Rockies.
Glad you're here.
Jennifer

Hi MR,

I just emailed you my address in case you decide you can make it to the swap after all, but I also wanted to post here to say---Welcome to RMG! We're glad you decided to come out of lurkdom!

Don't be afraid to post questions when you're trying to deal with the local conditions out here (Pretty different from Michigan---I grew up in northern Illinois!) And don't be afraid to chime in when somebody asks a question you can help with. All questions and replies are welcome around here!

Welcome again, and we hope to see more of you around here,
Skybird

Let me add my welcome. I'm a transplant from Illinois, although I've now been in Utah for over 15 years. I should be used to it by now, but I miss being able to throw seeds on the ground and watch things grow. This forum has really helped me learn how to deal with the conditions here.

Hi Magnoliaroad, it's nice to meet you!

I've been in Colorado for 8 years now (Wow, that's hard to believe!), but I've only been seriously gardening for about two years, so I'm still learning too!

This forum is my favorite, but the folks on the Wintersowing forum are friendly too. It's a great way to get a lot of plants without a lot of effort or expense!

Anyway, don't be shy, there are lots of helpful folks around here.

Bonnie
