Large arborvitaes in pots

Hello. I have two arborvitaes that have been in large (30") pots for about 5 years. They are about 4' tall now. Both plants look very good. At what point should I plant them in the ground? And should I do this in Oct/Nov or wait until spring?

I appreciate your advice and suggestions as how to do this.
Diane

It's OK to go ahead and transplant them now before they go dormant, according to NM master gardeners. I couldn't find anything on the CSU site.

Here is a link that might be useful: NM master gardeners
