Help! I am a first year gardener. I bought a few strawberry plants that were very disappointing. I think we got 3 strawberry plants the whole year. I hear this is because the plants like to spend the first year spreading out, and then after that they produce more berries. But is there any way to keep them alive in Denver's climate? Anyone have luck with this (I'm also trying to keep alive an asparagus plant, but I'm guessing that is more hardy)...
