Snow

It snowed this afternoon and then the power went out! Knew it would happen as all the trees still have their leaves. We had such a warm September that the leaves haven't started to fall yet. Fortunately it was only out for about 1 hour. So I told my husband that we would have to go to town and have dinner as it was that time with no power and no dinner made yet anyway.

Hopefully the town still had power! I've been stuck in places where the power went out and you couldn't even pump gas!

RE: Snow

Margaret, are you prepared for a really, really hard frost? The record lows in the single digits prophesied for the weekend are coming your way! Shouldn't drop below the teens here but oh, heavens!!

Yep, most of the trees here are still fully clothed. Many haven't even started to change colors. This will take care of that!

RE: Snow

Town is on a different provider than we are. So I called and checked first to see if they had power. When the power is off in town you can't pump gas or the cash registers don't work or the cafes either. It is suppose to snow again tonight with wind - don't need that! We have picked and brought in everything. Last things tonight were beets and cabbage. A friend is getting the beets tomorrow to make pickled beets. Need to cover the carrots and parsnips. They are saying single digits this weekend at night with highs of 35. Of course this weekend is the big apple festival. Bet they have a poor turn out or people will rush through and not hang around to look and buy.
