well it must be winter.... the seed heads of my echinacea are covered by the snows building depths....bohemian waxwings are circulating through the yard picking at the frozen viburnam drupes...owls sheltering in the spruces upper reaches....and the first evenings dropping into the -20's....thank god for the hot springs thats where i am headed now

Just filled the crock pot full of many things to make a big batch of vegetable soup. Don't forget the thyme, rosemary and chicken base.
