Mine were a bust. Entirely my fault. They sprouted last spring in a milk jug, I forgot about them for a week or so during a dry, windy period and they dried out and croaked. I think they'd have been fine with a little water and a more attentive gardener.

I did get one from the swap (from skybird, maybe?) that I planted that's doing fine.

I think they're worth a try, Gloria.

Thanks Barb, when did they germonate? Do you remember? I will definitely try them this year. Do remember when you put them out? I am totally new to this ws thing. Gloria

I was trying to remember so I searched the GW for wintersowing and found the thread from last year, it's titled Wintersowing 2011. It looks like I sowed them in mid-February and I think they germinated 4 - 6 weeks later, so late March, early April. I know other posters started early than I did.

Bonnie, (highalttransplant), skybird and others totally rock at wintersowing, you might search last year's thread to see how they did it. I'm thinking it's worth trying again as seeds are cheap and plants are getting expensive.
