Small green bug on oregano

I was curious if anyone might have ideas on what a small green bug might have been that I found on my oregano plant (on the underside of a leaf).

It looked solid, deep green, and was probably only about 2 mm or so in length. It seemed to be "bulkier" at one end (maybe the head), and tapered at the other end and going up slightly (tail?) It disappeared quickly - i.e. didn't crawl away - and I think it jumped, rather than flew.

I wish I could have gotten a picture of it. Thanks.

It sounds like a leaf hopper - spray them with soapy water.
