Too late to harvest potatoes?

I had an unscheduled shoulder surgery and didn't get to harvest my potatoes. I planted fingerling and German butterball potatoes. I also planted so Oca.

Do you guys think it's too late to harvest them? They're in raised beds so I'm hoping they didnt freeze.

Bob,

I hope you're on the mend. You've certainly nothing to lose by digging around to see what you have! Better to do that than leave them to rot in the ground. I would think that the raised beds wouldn't offer enough protection to overwinter them. I've never left them in the ground past fall, so hopefully some more experienced potato growers will chime in.

We have more cold weather moving in on Christmas and after so I'd do it this weekend. Let us know how it turns out.

Happy Holidays!

Barb

They should be fine if they didn't freeze.
