Greens survived the latest cold snap

So yesterday I went out and uncovered the hoops and the water was frozen solid and the plants looked pretty crispy. We had two nights in single digits and one night at 11ÂºF. Well about 2/3 of the greens perked up and I microwaved the water to hot, watered, and re-covered. We'll see of they can take the next blast!

Hi-tech coldframe will begin heating soil and we'll see if it can make the soil heat up in this cold to germinate. Perfect weather for garden trials, and not too windy to ruin everything!

Well, I don't have anything growing anymore, but I've survived the latest cold snap---so far! Does that count? ;-)

How are your greens doing by now, Dan? I'm not sure hot water is gonna cut it anymore by now. If anything's still alive, you might need to stick a couple light bulbs or a couple strings of Xmas lights in there to keep them cozy.

I haven't checked but I suspect they're done by now. The bed is too far away from an outlet to string lights in there but I figured that setup would get me to X-mas so no big loss...

Next house will have a bed with an electrical outlet run out there, for sure.
