You should never transplant when they are growing heavily and especially when it is 90. Ideally you transplant when they are dormant or as close as possible. You will lose some new growth but if you water enough they will almost certainly come back if you preserved the root ball as undisturbed as possible.

They're stressed because you lost some roots during transplanting and they have all that top growth and bloom to support. It might be a good idea to remove any buds and blooms and cut them back a bit until they get back on their feet. Don't feed them until you see new growth on them. If they're able to produce new growth then you know the root ball has recovered.

I don't know if there is a way to set up any shade for them, just till they perk back up? It genuinely works for roses that need to establish or reestablish their root systems.....but it's so toasty where you are the shade may not help all that much : /

Turn over some lawn chairs. Maybe drape a sheet over them.
