| Is Cal Hayes returning as Auctioneer this year? |
RE: Pacific Rose Society Annual
| | |
| The Pacific Auction was a big success, as always. Chris Greenwood did an outstanding job as the Auctioneer this year, and was ably assisted in wrangling all those great bareroot roses by Norm Nelson. The auction started in a timely manner, and we were out of there by 9:15. I took home more roses than I had planned on - eight - but more is always better, right? A good time was had by all. I'm already look forward to next year. Suzanne |

| Which roses had the higest bids? |
RE: Pacific Rose Society Annual
| | |
| The brand new mystery introduction from Weeks - WEKrigoyelo, a beautiful, fragrant pink hybrid tea - took the highest bids. Chris Greenwood has seen this one and speaks very highly of it. I couldn't help myself. I got one. After all, most of us enjoy pursuing the newest varieties that have been purported to show. It's what Bob Martin has called "chasing the buzz", and it's all an enjoyable part of the game. |
